1. Purpose of the Bingo

Kilconly Bingo is operated as a charitable and community fundraising activity for the purpose of supporting local community development, facilities, activities, and charitable initiatives within the Kilconly area.

The bingo is operated entirely on a not-for-profit basis.

All proceeds, after payment of prizes and reasonable operating expenses, are applied exclusively for community and charitable purposes.

No profits are distributed to directors, officers, committee members, volunteers, or participants.

2. Eligibility

Participation is strictly limited to persons aged 18 years or over.

By obtaining bingo books, flyer pages, raffle tickets, or participating in the bingo in any manner, participants confirm that:

  • they are at least 18 years of age;
  • they are legally entitled to participate;
  • and all information provided is accurate and complete.

The Organiser reserves the right to:

  • refuse participation;
  • cancel entries;
  • request proof of age or identity;
  • or withhold prizes,

where these conditions are not satisfied.

3. Nature of the Bingo

Kilconly Bingo is a weekly community bingo event conducted in Ireland.

The bingo session is conducted live and may be broadcast or streamed online to allow participants to follow the bingo call remotely.

The bingo is operated as a community fundraising activity and not as a commercial gambling service.

Attendance during the live session is not required in order to win.

4. Bingo Books and Pricing

Bingo tickets are referred to as “bingo books”.

Each bingo book contains multiple bingo games played sequentially during the bingo session.

Typical pricing may include:

  • Single Bingo Book – €10
  • Double Bingo Book – €15

A double book consists of two bingo books played simultaneously during the event.

Books:

  • must be obtained before the bingo event begins;
  • are valid only for the specific event for which issued;
  • and are non-transferable.

The Organiser reserves the right to vary pricing or promotional structures for special events.

5. Flyer Pages

Participants may optionally obtain additional bingo pages commonly referred to as “flyers”.

Flyers are generally associated with designated jackpot games and are played simultaneously with the corresponding game within the main bingo session.

Typical flyer pricing is €2 per page unless otherwise stated.

Participation in flyer games is entirely optional and is not required to participate in the main bingo games.

6. Raffles

Optional raffles may occasionally be conducted alongside the bingo event.

Where raffles are held:

  • prize details;
  • ticket pricing;
  • and draw arrangements

will be published in advance.

Participation in raffles is optional and separate from participation in the bingo games.

7. Operation of the Bingo

The bingo session is conducted live by a bingo caller during an online broadcast or meeting.

Numbers are randomly generated and announced sequentially during gameplay.

Participants are responsible for marking and monitoring their own bingo books and flyer pages.

The bingo management system records all valid entries in play and assists the Organiser in identifying and verifying potential winning cards.

A prize is only deemed won once:

  • the winning pattern has been achieved;
  • the claim has been verified;
  • and the Organiser has confirmed the result.

Records of:

  • numbers called;
  • winning tickets;
  • prize allocations;
  • and event results

are retained for verification and compliance purposes.

8. General Prize Structure

Multiple prizes are awarded during the bingo session across the games played during the evening.

Most standard games include:

  • line prizes;
  • double line prizes;
  • and full house prizes.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • a full house prize of €1,000 applies where achieved within 45 calls;
  • where not achieved within 45 calls, the game continues for a reduced full house prize, typically €200.

Prize structures may vary for special events and promotional evenings.

Certain games may include enhanced or progressive jackpot prize structures as described below.

Jackpot prizes are not guaranteed to be won in any particular week and remain subject to the published conditions.

9. Game 5 – Jackpot Rules

Game 5 includes a special jackpot prize structure.

A jackpot prize of €5,000 is awarded where a player completes a valid full house on a designated Game 5 flyer page within 45 calls or fewer.

Where a full house is achieved within the call limit on a standard bingo book page, the prize is €1,000.

If the jackpot is not won within 45 calls, the prize structure becomes:

  • €500 for a full house on the flyer page;
  • €300 for a full house on the standard bingo book page.

Only the first verified full house meeting the applicable conditions shall qualify for the relevant prize, subject to the simultaneous winner rules below.

10. Game 8 – Progressive Jackpot Rules

Game 8 operates as a progressive jackpot game.

Where a player completes a valid full house on a designated Game 8 flyer page within the applicable call limit, the jackpot prize is awarded.

Following a jackpot win:

  • the jackpot resets to €2,000;
  • and the applicable call limit resets to 45 calls.

If the jackpot is not won within the applicable call limit:

  • one additional call is added for the following week;
  • and the jackpot prize increases by €100.

This progressive structure continues weekly until the jackpot is won.

Where a full house is achieved within the applicable call limit on a standard bingo book page, the prize is €1,000.

If the full house is not achieved within the applicable call limit, the fallback prize structure becomes:

  • €500 for a full house on the flyer page;
  • €300 for a full house on the standard bingo book page.

From time to time, the Organiser may also guarantee that a minimum €1,000 full house prize will be paid during the bingo session where no earlier €1,000 full house prize has been won during the evening.

Any such promotional variation will be announced in advance of the event.

11. Simultaneous Winners and Prize Sharing

Where two or more participants complete the same valid winning pattern on the same call for the same prize, that prize shall be divided equally between all verified winners.

The total advertised prize amount for the relevant game shall not increase due to multiple winners.

Where a prize is shared:

  • individual payouts may be rounded to the nearest euro;
  • and reasonable administrative adjustments may be applied where necessary.

The Organiser’s determination regarding simultaneous wins and prize allocation shall be final.

12. Attendance and Prize Claims

Attendance during the live bingo session is not required in order to win.

Where a participant is not present during the live session:

  • winning ticket details may be published on the Kilconly Bingo website following the event;
  • and winners may claim prizes by contacting the Organiser.

Participants remain responsible for:

  • checking results;
  • verifying tickets;
  • and making prize claims where necessary.

All prizes remain subject to verification.

13. Verification and Prize Payments

All prizes are subject to verification by the Organiser.

The Organiser reserves the right to:

  • investigate claims;
  • request proof of purchase or identity;
  • delay payment pending verification;
  • or refuse payment where fraud, misuse, or breach of these Rules is reasonably suspected.

Verified prizes will normally be paid by electronic transfer or another approved payment method.

14. Technical Issues and Event Disruption

The Organiser shall not be responsible for interruptions caused by:

  • internet failures;
  • device malfunctions;
  • software issues;
  • third-party platform outages;
  • or circumstances beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control.

Where necessary to preserve fairness and integrity, the Organiser may:

  • pause;
  • delay;
  • suspend;
  • reschedule;
  • or cancel

all or part of a bingo session.

Any such decision shall be made reasonably and in good faith.

15. Responsible Participation

Kilconly Bingo is intended as a community fundraising and social entertainment activity.

Participants are encouraged to participate responsibly and only obtain bingo books, flyer pages, or raffle tickets that they can comfortably afford.

Participation should not be viewed as a source of financial income or guaranteed winnings.

16. Advertising and Promotional Information

All advertising, promotional material, and jackpot announcements are intended to provide general information regarding the bingo event.

All prizes remain subject to:

  • these Official Rules;
  • the Terms of Use;
  • the Terms of Purchase;
  • and any event-specific conditions.

In the event of any discrepancy, the Official Rules and Organiser’s verified records shall prevail.

17. Amendments to the Rules

The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Rules where necessary for:

  • operational reasons;
  • legal compliance;
  • regulatory requirements;
  • security;
  • fairness;
  • or integrity of the bingo operation.

Material changes will be published or communicated before the relevant bingo session where reasonably practicable.

18. Regulatory Position

Kilconly Bingo operates in accordance with Irish law, including the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1956 (as amended) and any applicable court authorisations or licences.

The Organiser actively monitors regulatory developments and intends to comply fully with future licensing requirements introduced by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland as they become applicable to charitable and community bingo activities.

  • and accepted

these Official Rules, the Terms of Use, the Terms of Purchase, and all related policies governing participation in Kilconly Bingo.
